What is Things about?
ThingsCon is a two-day conference about the future of the hardware ranging from Internet of Things, connected devices and wearables to 3D printing and new manufacturing techniques.
The program consists of two full days: In one day of workshops and intimate sessions, and one day of talks on the big stage, a line-up of international top notch speakers and thought leaders will cover everything it takes to grow a hardware product from prototype to scaling business – and help participants build the products of tomorrow.
Additionally, a city-wide Hardware Day Berlin on 2 May 2014 will provide ample opportunity for satellite events, meetups and other ways to foster community, collaboration and exchange of ideas in Berlin as one of Europe’s emerging hardware hubs.
Who is Things for?
We expect about 250 founders, entrepreneurs, innovators, startups, investors, engineers, designers and software developers, marketing and brand people, tinkerers and innovators from all kinds of backgrounds at the core event, plus several hundred more at satellite events.
Topics covered include: designing for hardware and IoT products; engineering, electronics and technology; integration of hardware products and software services; business models, scaling, manufacturing and finance; tools of the trade; and lots of insights and experiences from the field. For a more indepth look at who we build Things for, please read this blog post.
